REAL PROGRESS!
After a lot of work behind the scenes, we are now making some real, visual progress! As you can see from our project update photos below, construction is coming along: foundations have been poured, walls have been stood, we even have a roof on one of the buildings. Our construction crew is doing a tremendous job and we are so excited to see years of planning turn into physical housing.
A little more about what makes Rogue Ridge special:
A little more about what makes Rogue Ridge special:
- Rogue Ridge is a model program receiving state-wide endorsement, and meeting the Governor's priority of creating Housing First resources to meet community need.
- Rogue Ridge will be a true local community resource, with referrals coming through the Jackson County Coordinated Entry System. This means vulnerable Jackson County citizens will have access to affordable, Supportive Housing based on need, as identified by the Jackson Continuum of Care (a collaboration of trusted helping agencies/community partners such as Community Works, Maslow Project, Rogue Valley Council of Governments, Veterans Administration – Southern Oregon Rehabilitative Center and Clinics (SORCC), Ashland Community Resource Center and ACCESS).
- Rogue Ridge will be part of the solution during a housing crisis, helping to reduce homelessness for individuals living with a disability.
- Rogue Ridge will have on-site supports and programming to help individuals be successful in their homes and community, and move towards further independence.
- Rogue Ridge is beautifully designed, with special attention to quality, livability, and will follow the Earth Advantage Certification path to ensure eco-friendly "green" standards.
- Rogue Ridge was designed by architect, Jerome White, a long-time local resident of Ashland.
